Career start for engineers

Chemistry and technology combined

Chemical production plants are based on complex technologies. At LANXESS we build on the expertise of qualified engineers to produce our products in line with the highest environmental and quality standards. Have you just graduated in a technical discipline and want to start working in an exciting and responsible job straight away? We give you the opportunity to do just that in our operating Business Units. We will prepare you for your new job at LANXESS in an entry program for engineers. This covers innovative subjects as well as the areas research, development and application technology.

As a globally operating company we of course also offer you the opportunity to be involved in cross-company, international projects or to assume a position abroad for a longer period of time and as such to gain important inter-cultural experience.

Here is a selection of the diverse engineer roles at LANXESS:

  • As a production engineer you ensure that the production plants in a company or part of a company are operational at all times. You are responsible for the respective budgets as well as for the entire plant inventory management – the maintenance, employment and process safety as well as the planning and implementation of technical processes for the plant and process optimisation.
  • In the project manager function you will be responsible for example for developing new processes, integrating new technologies as well as identifying optimisation potentials for existing production processes.
  • When specific solutions are developed for industries such as automotive or electrical engineering, you assume a management function in your position as engineer for application technology. You are then the competent contact in questions relating to processing, material selection and tool construction.
