Job Highlights

Identify and validate the business and technical feasibility for new or expanded application opportunities for urethane chemistry in existing or new application segments to increase profitable sales.

Travel to existing and new customer’s to identify opportunities.

Demonstrate the feasibility of ideas, concepts and opportunities in the laboratory & in field trials.

Benchmark market trends, state of the art, competitive technology, patent literatrue and substitute technology.

Prepare, circulate and present a technical & business plan to senior leadership for approval.

Align and transfer validated opportunities to internal team memberts to develop and commercialize.

Manage cross-functional teams to intitally develop opportunities.

Proactively develop and maintain customer relationships.  Publish trip reports and communicate highlights to the team.

Requirements

Master's or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Chemistry, Engineering or other related sciences. 

Strong background in technical, business, and applications technology.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Urethanes or polymer chemistry.

Experience identifying new business opportunities, as well as technical and commercial feasibility of products.

Experience working with customers, capturing their voice and translating requirements into value-added chemistry.
