Job Highlights

  • Provide marketing and sales support for product portfolio development in the North American markets, including market intelligence, key account, distribution and territory management for Specialized Processing (SP) segment development.
  • Provide input to the development of marketing plans and budget as needed through the direction of the Business Unit (BU) Head and the other Segment Managers, collecting and considering the input from Field Sales Representatives, Distributors and Agents for the accuracy of the sales forecast.
  • Understand the key markets drivers, adapt a marketing strategy, maintain good understanding of new product developments and market trends to gain competitive advantage. Prepare sales and marketing analysis reports for the Business Segment SP, along with the key accounts and distributors under its responsibility, as well as plans for increasing market share, growth and competition analysis.
  • Update and amend, as needed, distribution and agency agreements.  This would include pricing, coordination with legal department, supplying necessary documents to support the business, performance evaluation and updating sales and market development through distributors.
  • Coordinate and support internal processes like monthly rolling forecast, customer care concept, CRM changes implementation, and internal technical trainings, quarterly business segment reviews with Germany, product development and introduction to new applications.
  • Maintaining customer databases as well as product portfolio needs by applications, including tracking customer trials, quotes and activities towards increasing the whole SP regional sales.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to increase market penetration and market share, including but not limited to participation in technical, trade and distribution shows, conferences, as well as commercial and technical events.
  • Support and follow up on customer visits, coordination of sample requests, customer complaints. Provide direct customer interface on pricing, availability, technical data, samples, literature and negotiation through closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent is required, Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and presenting marketing and financial reports.
  • Strong skills in project management, planning, organizing, negotiations, coordinating, and innovation.
  • Must be able to self manage to meet potential tight deadlines, product shortage or customer requests.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, Lotus Notes, April Star.
  • General understanding of regulatory and product safety information and how it relates to the product and business segment.
