Job Highlights
Start your career as a Laboratory Technician in LANXESS’s Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG) where you will help turn science into quality while learning and growing as part of a collaborative team.
- Complete customer requested construction market application projects to support their business.
- Identifies and implements SOPs for innovative market applications and new laboratory equipment/instruments.
- Act as secondary Quality Specialist. Conducts quality control testing, and reformulation, when necessary, to ensure all blends from the facility comply with product specifications.
- Evaluates the quality of raw materials per ASTM standards and how to use them to meet both internal and external customers’ needs.
- Backup warehouse and logistics personnel
- Support paint/coating applications projects and regional sample management.
- Ensure Lab and equipment cleanliness.
Experience / Skills
- B.S. Degree in a science related field.
- Previous experience working in a relevant field and/or setting.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work alone and in a team setting.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary.
- Previous Microsoft Office experience.
- This is an ON-SITE position located at the Starpointe Plant in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
