Job Highlights
As a Production Operator I in LANXESS’s Inorganic Pigments Group (IPG), you will support the safe and efficient manufacturing of high-quality iron oxide pigments. As a front-line contributor, the operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment, following standard operating procedures, and ensuring product quality and consistency. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and environmental protocols, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Charge, blend and package pigments as instructed by the blend, repackaging and packaging sheets.
- Recognize defects in finished product such as lumps or streaking.
- Prepare equipment for new blend by thoroughly cleaning to prevent cross contamination.
- Complete all required training.
- Troubleshoot equipment and make repairs commensurate with skill level.
- Assist with machinery inspections as needed.
Experience / Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license in order to be forklift certified.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
- Must have basic math skills to confirm accuracy of any adjustments needed in final product.
- This is an ON-SITE position located at the Starpointe Plant in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
