Job Highlights

  • Manage unit production operations including planning, scheduling, equipment maintenance, inventory and materials requirements, policies and processes
  • Participate in regularly scheduled internal and external audits, reviews and planning as required
  • Provide leadership and mediation for employee relations, effecting conflict and problem resolution in an efficient, professional manner
  • Participate and support the formulation and implementation of site production plans
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics personnel to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory and materials, ensuring shipping and packaging documents and orders are accurate and consistent
  • Lead, support and participate in all Company health, environmental and safety initiatives, processes, audits, and investigations
  • Train, manage and mentor production staff
  • Participate in the investigation of customer complaints to ensure accurate root cause analysis and sufficient corrective action has occurred

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree and/or certification preferred
  • Minimum 8 yrs progressively responsible plant manufacturing experience; chemical and/or rubber industry preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Minimum 3 yrs personnel management experience in a plant and/or manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines
  • Exceptional time and project management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience with best-in-class manufacturing techniques, standards and practices; basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices preferred
  • Basic computer software and data retrieval system knowledge; SAP experience preferred
