Job Highlights

The Operations Engineer is responsible for day-to-day support and troubleshooting of a PSM regulated chemical facility. Solutions may require development of new or improved products, processes, or techniques. This position will provide support with small and medium size projects to improve safety, operational efficiency, quality, and reduce waste.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with training, outage planning, data entry, and process tracking.
  • Provide mentoring to Operations Specialist and Operators to improve, implement, and track compliance of regulatory and safety management systems.
  • Work with Production Manager and Operation Specialists daily to achieve production goals.
  • Liaison with Production Planning, Maintenance, E&I, QC, Engineering, Logistics, HR, and Plant Management.
  • Reponsible for process improvements including projects, data entry and process tracking.
  • Internal technical support (e.g., inspections/audits, PHA's, MOC's, training, permits, etc.)

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry or related degree with proven experience in operations 
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated process engineering skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills.  Fact-based analysis and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and ability to analyze and interpret data to determine path forward
  • Knowledge of standard IT programs including SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Leadership experience preferred
