Job Highlights

Please note: This position works a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including days, nights and weekends. Some overtime work is required.

  • Responsible for performing quality assurance testing and other laboratory functions in a quality lab.
  • QA technicians are expected to follow written procedures and provide sound judgment on the validity of reported results.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safe and responsible manner, with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Analyze production samples in a timely manner and report results in a computer-based lab data system.
  • Accurate preparation/review of documentation for product shipments and process samples.
  • Perform calibrations/checks on lab instrumentation.
  • General laboratory maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in chemistry or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of prior work experience in a lab setting is required. 
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule and be flexible to work overtime as necessary. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and consult with supervision for more complex issues.  
  • Understanding of lab techniques is critical and understanding of plant processes is necessary to ensure appropriate actions are taken during chemical processing.  
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and work independently. 
  • Technical skills including SAP, LIMS and analytical instrumentation
