Job Highlights

This position is responsible to blend finished fluid product and perform all other task and activities associated with the product in our blending, grease and/or chem plant area. The blender responsibilities include loading and offloading bulk chemicals such as from and or to tanker trucks, iso containers and railcars.   The blending operator routinely transfers raw materials and products and must ensure the correct material is transferred to the correct destination as a core responsibility of the role.   The blender performs calculations as required to determine tank contents and quantities transferred as well as other batch related calculations.

  • The blender must follow detailed batch instructions which includes precisely weighing and adding raw materials as part of making blending batches.  
  • Will also perform packaging as needed
  • Blender must be able to drive a forklift. 
  • Additionally, there is lifting required and is a essential part of this job and which includes but not limited to lifting and dumping of raw materials into blend kettles and transfer of materials.  
  • Must accurately and legibly fill out all forms and batch records.
  • Maintain safe and efficient production activities: Lock out Tag out, 6S/Housekeeping, PHA support, inspections, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalence, with a 2 year technical degree or 5 years industrial work experience in relevant electrical field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years manufacturing experience as IE technician is required.
  • Clear and comprehensive communication in English (written/verbal) required.
  • Basic mathematic and numeracy skills required.
  • PLC, DCS, VFD experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a Team environment.
  • Committed to safety & organizational goals.
  • Self-motivated able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Available for on-call duty.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy and high volume machine production area.
  • Ability and willingness to work safely and wear PPE as required.
