Job Highlights

  • Performance evaluation of specialty lubricants in specialized lubricant test equipment
  • Carry out formulation lab work.  This includes new product development and support of existing products.
  • Blending of lubricant quantities for testing from small glassware scale up to 5 gallon size batches 
  • Physical and chemical testing of specialty lubricants and raw materials in analytical equipment
  • Maintenance of laboratory and test equipment
  • Comply with all safety regulations and ISO quality and environmental standards. Make recommendations towards the improvement of safety and environmental concerns
  • Actively participate in team project meetings.
  • Document and organize data in notebooks and on computers, and summarize in technical reports and present at project team meetings.
  • Coordinate testing at contract test labs.


  • Education
    • Minimum Requirement: Associate degree in a technical field with industry experience.
    • Preferred: B.S. degree in Chemistry or related technical discipline.
  • Special Skills
    • Strong aptitude for setting up and running large scale laboratory equipment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) an asset.
    • Formulation and blending experience an asset.
    • Ability to lift 40 lbs a reqjuirement.
