Job Highlights
  • Subject Matter Expert for PSM/RMP compliance and meeting LANXESS directives requires detailed technical understanding of processes and hazards associated with South El Dorado Plants.  Key hazards include combustible dust, flammable and toxic materials, and impacts to community.
  • Process Safety Technical expert will require troubleshooting and decision making skills
  • Interaction with Plant management , LANXESS POSM and PTSE groups, LANXESS legal, as well as regulatory agencies to communicate issues, their status and  solutions.
  • Manage PHA scheduling and data collection requires understanding of site organization and Lanxess Directives
  • Participate in company external, regulatory, and internal audits
  • Share, mentor and train others in the Lanxess directives, regulatory compliance, and site PSM procedures
  • Implement new systems and program elements, integrating best management practices
  • Key role in translating recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) and principles
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related engineering degree
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive and passion for continual improvement in PSM performance
  • Demonstrated excellent communications (verbal and written) and leadership skills, and able to simultaneously manage and complete multiple projects
  • Knowledge and Understanding of PSM and RMP regulations is required
  • Skills related to technical writing, database management experience are of advantage
  • Skills relating to critical thinking, and problem solving are of advantage
  • Skills in dispersion modelling or emergency planning are of advantage
  • Skills in pressure safety relief sizing are of advantage
  • Skills in Process Hazard Analysis facilitation are of advantage
