Job Highlights

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support of the senior engineer in the management and supervision of the South Arkansas Air Compliance Program. South Arkansas has a robust Clean Air Act regulatory oversight involving three Title V air permits for three chemical manufacturing facilities and up to 30 individual chemical processing units including many other compliance obligations (chemical weapons reporting, RMP, LDAR, etc.). This not only includes over 40 annual regulatory compliance reports that must be submitted on time, accurate and complete, but also third-party support oversight for daily Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) sampling requirements and source emissions testing mobilizations.

Another critical function of this position is to provide CapEx and site operational and maintenance support through regulatory interpretations and permit modifications regarding expansion and improvement projects. This role has a high technical demand for timely and accurate review and application package preparation for submittal to the regulatory agencies to meet site project deadlines in an environmentally compliant manner.

Requirements

  • Requires a college degree in either Engineering (chemical or environmental) or comparable science (chemistry, environmental science, etc.)
  • 1-3 years of experience in this field 
  • Knowledge of Clean Air Act Title V permitting requirements
  • Either possess Professional Engineering certification or similar credential, or the ability to acquire this certification within 1-3 years is of advantage.
