Job Highlights

The purpose of this position is to support the South Arkansas Clean Air Act programs to ensure federal, state, and local agency compliance. The AIr Engineer II will support the air pollution compliance policies, programs, procedures, and systems to ensure continuous improvement.   South Arkansas has a complex CAA regulatory program including 2 Title V air permits and many other compliance obligations (chemical weapons reporting, RMP, LDAR, etc.). Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Advise Leadership, Engineers, and Maintenance as subject matter expert (SME) in CAA regulations and related compliance programs.  Participate in site MOC, HAZOP, and Incident Tracking processes as CAA subject matter expert. 
  • Support and improve CAA and Title V air permitting and permit requirements.
  • Support stack testing, LDAR, and pollution control processes.
  • Work with Procurement on commercial agreements, PR’s, PO’s and invoices as needed
  • Support company Sustainability reporting initiatives.
  • Develop Pollution Prevention Projects and the resources to complete them.
  • Participate in Environmental audits, inspections and the associated reporting and CA processes.
  • Help develop and implement CAA, RMP, chemical weapons, and LDAR training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of air compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of CAA and LDAR regulations is required. 
  • Method 9 (Opacity) Certification is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated project management experience. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
