Job Highlights

  • Create and manage a department vision that aligns with the organization's vision and strategic plan.
  • Based on significant technical expertise, reviews and approves complex design concepts and provides general direction to technical staff.
  • Utilizes solid understanding of theories and practices of a variety of disciplines to manage complex projects or programs within boundaries of quality, time, and budget.
  • Represents as needed outside of business unit or division as subject matter expert.
  • Exhibits creativity and innovation in completing divisional and cross-functional/business unit responsibilities.
  • Identifies and investigates issues that present unusual conditions; solutions may require development of new or improved products, processes, or techniques.
  • Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, and equipment.
  • Executes and leads performance improvement activities which may employ various process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, BPI, KAM, etc.).
  • Facilitates the implementation of applicable BEST/CLASS criteria.
  • Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards based on strategic objectives and performance improvement goals.
  • Effectively manages mid-sized projects to ensure project completion on-time, on-budget, and on-quality; resolves issues and conflicts; coordinates project work with other operating units; regularly reports project status.

Requirements

  • BS Chemical Engineering preferred, equivalent chemical manufacturing experience accepted
  • 3-5 years related experience in a similar manufacturing environment showing increasing responsibility.
  • Leadership experience leading teams upwards to 50 people
  • Experience working and collaborating with a diverse group of individuals
  • Previous project management a plus

  • Compensation: We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program and an individual performance bonus program. The minimum pay for this position is $107,400. Please note, the actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
