Job Highlights
  • Support the maintenance work process
  • Cutting, welding, steel fabrication and pipe fitting
  • Maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, air/gas compressors, blowers, glass and glass lined steel equipment and hydraulic systems, tanks and pressure vessels, mechanical seals, and all other process equipment
  • Alignment of rotating equipment
  • Troubleshooting equipment failures
  • Record keeping
  • Adherence to and support of Lanxess environmental, health and safety policies
Requirements
  • High school diploma, technical degree preferred
  • Two years or more of mechanical experience in a chemical / petrochemical industry a plus
  • Demonstration of precision repair and rebuilding of rotating equipment, laser alignment. pipe fitting and value repair
  • Successful candidate must complete the Maintenance Training Course, 10 volume / TPC training materials, within the established schedule
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be available to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, call outs, week-end and holiday coverage
