Job Highlights

  • The production maintenance specialist is the gatekeeper of the maintenance work process and ensures all maintenance requests are reviewed prior to becoming work orders. Ensure the maintenance schedule aligns with the operations and maintenance resource availability.
  • Responds to priority one and priority two jobs. Reviews call-outs and provides feedback and coaching as necessary to ensure optimal use of maintenance resources.
  • Initiates necessary planning to ensure the safe and timely completion of critical jobs.
  • Communicates needs to maintenance supervisor and scheduler and negotiates necessary schedule changes.
  • Verifying accuracy and completeness of job scopes.
  • Reviews and provides direction to planning for jobs requiring Management of Change, cost approvals, or changes in start dates due to material or services requirements. 
  • Continually reviewing notification and work order back log to ensure jobs with highest priority (HSE, PM, and Mechanical Integrity) and providing most value are prioritized, planned, and executed in a timely fashion such that regulatory requirements are maintained and reliability of the unit is not jeopardized.

Requirements

  • 2-year mechanical certification/trade school or technical college 
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience. Or internal candidates should have 2 years of production experience as a supervisor, step up or senior technician or cross-trained in the Maintenace Work Process, PMS Role and has filled in when the PMS is off.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP.
