Job Highlights

  • Partner with Engineering and Operations Departments to ensure the reliability, technical compliance and maintainability of new and modified installations. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for adhering to the local Life Cycle Asset Management process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets working thru direction of Reliability Manager.
  • Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
  • Participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
  • Assist in the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
  • Participate in the final check of new installations.
  • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine Asset Maintenance Plans that includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
    • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation along with compliance to Jurisdictional mandates.
  • Assist in developing engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations including capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
  • Work with Production to perform analysis of assets including:  
    • Asset Utilization
    • Overall Equipment Effectiveness
    • Remaining useful life
    • Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates with less experience. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and investigate equipment failures that affect plant reliability. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
