Job Highlights

 

This position provides emergency response support to the El Dorado Central, South, West, and Brine Department locations. This includes responding to chemical, fire, injury, weather, and medical emergencies. This position also includes safety support, providing guidance to operations, maintenance, and contractor services to maintain compliance and prevent incidents and injuries throughout LANXESS El Dorado Facilities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Organize emergency response training activities and topics for the El Dorado emergency response and operational teams. Manage emergency brigade pay structure through training and progression documentation. 
  • Manage safety/emergency response documentation, policies, and training information for designated areas of responsibility. 
  • Manage the El Dorado site emergency equipment/PPE inspections, testing, and repair programs and prepare to present conditions during audits. 
  • Perform emergency response audits, including audits on equipment, systems, and areas of responsibility. 
  • Conduct emergency response drills annualy at the El Dorado sites. 
  • Coordinate with state, county, and city officials, along with the Union County LECP, for emergency response coordination outside LANXESS. 
  • Develop and deliver effective communications to the El Dorado sites on subjects related to safety and emergency response.
  • Maintain the site emergency communication systems

Requirements

 

  • NFPA 1081 certification, First Responder certification, Incident Commander training, Occupational Safety, or related combination of education and experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations. 
  • Ability to develop and write reports for compliance and regulatory obligations, audits, and safety communications - both internal and external. 
  • Ability to develop detailed safety and compliance training for emergency responders. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
