Job Highlights

  • Monitor and track all domestic and/or international shipments to assure “On Time Delivery” of all product
  • Ensuring shipping and related documentation are in compliance with regulatory before issuing
  • Generate shipping documents including BOL, Commercial, Pro forma invoices, and SDS
  • Transact inventory receipts and dispatches to and from domestic inventory locations as shipped
  • Monitor and communicate discrepancies regarding logistics policies and procedures around customer deliveries and special requirements
  • Scheduling outbound traffic
  • Ensure proper resolution to shipping damages, including product replacement, incident handling and escalation to appropriate departments
  • Analyze delivery costs and customer ordering patterns, request quotes from Odyssey or Freight Forwarder for customer service or sales if requested, obtain carrier routes to be added to master data for new customer locations if noted
  • Understand / utilize effective problem solving and root cause analysis as needed

Requirements

  • College degree preferred (Associates or Bachelors); years of experience in logistics related field may be considered
  • 3-5 years previous customer service and/or logistics experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of trucking/logistics methods, terms, and practices a plus
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively over-the-phone, through e-mail and face to face.
  • Ability to recognize when action is necessary and to implement the required actions within a reasonable time.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow in order to use time effectively.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations in order to calculate weights for posts goods issues. 
  • Ability to use discretion and good judgment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
