Job Highlights

The Shipper Receiver will be responsible for unloading or load trailers and/or sea containers and transport materials to the proper warehouse location. They will maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, ensuring one is following SOP’s, Plant Rules and all required regulations. Responsibilities include:

  • Comply with all safety procedures
  • Keep pallets of finished goods wrapped, tagged and shipped correctly
  • Work in a clean and orderly way and promote effective housekeeping
  • Complete daily paperwork in legible handwriting
  • Learn procedures for loading truckloads, containers and Less Than Truckloads (LTL’s)
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks
  • Receives materials and verifies correctness of shipments against bills of lading or other records, checks for shortages, identifies damaged goods, routes merchandise to proper locations
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness of all documents and records
  • Perform administrative  and clerical and other duties as required

Experience / Skills

  • 2 to 3 year’s experience as a Material Handler
  • Must be forklift certified
  • Must have the International Transportation by Air (IATA) certification.
  • Be able to lift 60lbs of goods
  • Certification in TDG regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work independently while maintaining productivity.
  • Be able to maintain 5S standards (items in their proper location and labelled)
  • Works safely within plant safety standards
  • Continuous learning ability and self-motivated
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • G driving license is a must
  • Be able to work in a team environment

The Elmira facility is a state of the art production facility used to manufacture synthetic lubricants and additives for lubricants, plastics and rubber. In addition to the main production facilities we have a comprehensive wastewater treatment system that is used to treat all of the process wastewater that is generated on site, and a groundwater treatment system to remove historic contaminants prior to discharge. The Elmira site is also home to a pilot plant, which is used by our scientists and engineers to develop and test new products and production processes.

Situated on 75 acres (of which 22 acres are used for operations), the manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our hourly employees are represented by the United Steelworkers Union.

Both sites (Elmira and West Hill) are registered under the ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
