Job Highlights

  • Conduct life critical work permits regularly for maintenance activities
  • Oversee maintenance work requests 
  • Work directly with Production counterpart to schedule maintenance activities
  • Supervision, direction, priorities, support, and development to maintenance personnel
  • Execute supervision activities within the scope and boundaries of the site’s Union Labor Contract
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of outages and turnarounds
  • Identify and recommend improvements in facilities, equipment, and resource utilization
  • Utilize and maintain the site CMMS
  • Own and manage the plant mechanical integrity program with support and collaboration from corporate resources
  • Develop, implement, and own site Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs
  • Participate in and sometimes lead Root Cause Analysis investigations
  • Responsible for material/tool/equipment selection and procurement related to maintenance activities
  • Support all  HSEQ compliance activities
  • Participate in/ lead the development of the site capital plan and priorities
  • Manage site high pressure boiler operations
  • Maintain liaison with outside organizations to assure information exchange and mutual assistance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in maintenance techniques and chemical operation equipment
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Capable of leading or coordinating technical and organizational  aspects of maintenance resources
  • Able to independently assimilate new technology and apply to work procedures
  • Able to analyse data and situations, draw conclusions and make meaningful decisions
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Chemical Plant experience highly preferred
  • OSHA PSM mandated plant experience highly preferred
  • Experience with SAP PM or similar CMMS system required
  • Six Sigma or Lean Certification preferred
