Job Highlights

  • Oversees maintenance work requests and completes planning process for maintenance activities
  • Works with Production counterpart to schedule maintenance activities
  • Responsible for ongoing supervision, direction, priorities, support, hiring and development to maintenance personnel
  • Participates in the planning, scheduling, and execution of outages and turnarounds
  • Actively utilizes and maintains the site CMMS including equipment specific, work order, and compliance activity data and histories
  • Manages the plant mechanical integrity program with support and collaboration from corporate resources
  • Manages site Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs
  • Participates in Root Cause Analysis investigations
  • Responsible for material/tool/equipment selection and procurement related to maintenance activities
  • Actively supports all  HSEQ compliance activities
  • Participates in the development of the site capital plan and priorities
  • Responsible for site high pressure boiler operations
  • Provides technical assistance and training to Maintenance department
  • Maintains and executes objectives and department key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conducts life critical work permits regularly for maintenance related activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Capable of leading or coordinating technical and organizational  aspects of maintenance resources
  • Able to analyse data and situations, draw conclusions and make meaningful decisions
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Chemical Plant experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP PM or similar CMMS system required
  • Six Sigma or Lean Certification preferred
