Maintenance Planner

 

The Asia Pacific Application Development Center (ADC) in Nanjing joined LANXESS along with the Chemtura acquisition. It is equipped with advanced R&D facilities as well as excellent engineers, which provides technical, development and training support for company, customers, partners on Bromine Solutions, Lubricant Additives, Organometalics and Urethane Systems.

 

Job Highlights

  • Schedule maintenance tasks in conjunction with production planning and equipment shutdowns.
  • Participate on the annual shutdown team to plan and execute the work scope.
  • Generate and distribute reports (open Wos, past due PMs, labor utilization, WO cost, etc.)
  • Follow up on all input from executed work orders to gauge job plan effectiveness
  • Maintain equipment hierarchy (equipment and parts lists)
  • Enter purchase requisitions and coordinate the availability of parts to ensure that work activities are executed when planned     
  • Maintain and manage spare and critical parts inventories
  • Track maintenance costs/expenditures for services or work performed by the maintenance department so that the operations department or capital project can be charged accordingly.
  • Track and budget accordingly for site service PM agreements (example: Scale calibration, exterminator, lawn care, forklift maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist capital projects with scheduling and procure/receive materials/parts/equipment
  • Support annual budgeting process for the maintenance department and maintain the library of maintenance documentation
  • Provide timely feedback on priority and anticipated time of repair to requestors 

                                                           

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred
  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience
  • Maintenance and/or planning experience in an industrial setting through knowledge and understanding of process equipment (mechanical and electrical)
  • SAP experience preferred, ability to work well with others as well as independently - must be a self-starter. 
  • Proficiency with basic office software, e.g., Microsoft Windows, email and spreadsheets 
  • Familiar with OSHA Regulations (General Duty Clause, PSM, etc.)              
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial and cost information related to maintenance activities.
  • Flexibility to be on call, work nights and weekends as required.
