About the Role: Join our dynamic team as a Systems Administrator, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining our Military Computer Environment and Site Distributed Control System (DCS). You'll ensure reliable and efficient operations, manage system integrations, and control data to meet security and government regulations.
Job Highlights
Military Computer Environment Administration:
- Maintain and implement upgrades for the Military Environment Computer System.
- Manage third-party vendors to ensure effective delivery of IT services.
- Control data to meet security and government requirements and regulations.
- Maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect critical systems.
- Perform security monitoring and threat response.
DCS Management:
- Oversee and maintain the DCS for optimal performance.
- Integrate DCS with other IT systems and monitor system performance.
- Implement updates and modifications to enhance system efficiency.
- Develop and implement DCS logic, graphics, and control strategies.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot DCS hardware and software.
- Collaborate with process engineers on control loops, interlocks, and alarms.
- Integrate new equipment and systems into the DCS architecture.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including logic diagrams and system architecture.
- Manage HIMA safety system.
System Administration:
- Manage 3rd party Historian functionality and OPC connectivity.
- Ensure virus protection and system backups of OT servers and workstations.
- Administer a separate computer environment for the Defense Industry portion of the business.
- Handle Azure user and device administration, MS365 administration, and end-user technical support.
- Maintain and upgrade Windows images, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and virtual servers.
- Manage third-party vendors for Military Environment Computer System support.
Technical Support & Training:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Support end-users, provide technical training, and create clear documentation.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT administration.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with Microsoft Azure/Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Palo Alto Firewall, Group Policy, and Device/Software/Image Deployment.
- Knowledge of Workplace Operating Systems, Productivity Tools, Unified Collaboration & Communication, Mobile Device Management, and Workplace Devices.
- Experience with safety and DCS software.
- Advanced knowledge of IT cybersecurity.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic knowledge of on-premise & cloud hosting.
- Intermediate understanding of IT processes (ITIL).
- Basic understanding of business processes.
