Job Highlights

  • The Process Controls Engineer manages all aspects of the plant process controls system.  The position also leads electrical and process controls projects, including scope, schedule and budget while complying with EH&S and Quality policies and regulations.  The position provides technical support and guidance to the plant Instrument and Electrical technician.  
  • Maintains and troubleshoots all aspects of plant process controls system (DCS, PLC, robotics, power distribution, instrumentation, motors)
  • Updates and maintains the plant Safety Instrumented System, DCS, process safety loops/interlocks and electrical drawings
  • Ensures documentation of process controls systems is updated and fully compliant with regulatory and corporate requirements
  • Actively participates in process safety activities and documentation
  • Interacts with business and corporate resources to ensure full compliance with regulations and safe, reliable operations
  • Provides technical guidance to plant Maintenance and Operations teams
  • Implement and maintains an alarm management system to address all alarms and ensure safe operations

Requirements

  • Must be action-oriented with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or Associates Degree with demonstrated process controls experience
  • Working knowledge of process controls systems: Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Fanuc, etc.is beneficial
