Job Highlights
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in target growth markets (e.g., semiconductors, battery materials, green hydrogen economy, life sciences)
- Conduct value chain analysis to pinpoint valuable and defensible entry points for LANXESS
- Lead techno-economic analysis and construct robust, data-driven business cases for promising opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across R&D, Application Development, Marketing, Sales, and Production to drive projects from ideation to commercialization
- Engage with potential customers, university labs, and technology partners to validate unmet needs and explore collaboration models
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry is strongly preferred for technical credibility with R&D teams
- 5+ years of post-academic experience in a commercial or strategic role within the chemical or related industry; an MBA is a significant advantage
- Demonstrated excellence in market analysis, techno-economic assessment, and financial modeling
- Proactive, results-oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and exceptional communication skills
- Direct experience in target growth markets (e.g., semiconductors, battery chemistry) is a distinct advantage
