Job Highlights
- Create Purchase Orders for outside contract work related to Maintenance parts.
- Secures and prepare parts for offsite repairs.
- Records movements of incoming and outgoing storeroom materials.
- Reduces unnecessary and potentially costly part delays by regularly reviewing min. and max. inventory triggers in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Works with the planner to prepare parts kits and confirm parts availability.
- Accurately distributes parts and other products to employees.
- Shipping, receiving and handling materials in the storeroom and warehouse by truck, UPS, FedEx, other common carriers, and vendor.
- Receives storeroom materials against the order documents and records receipt in financial systems.
- Performs physical checking of storeroom materials for breakage, damage, and accuracy.
- Unpacks items, and properly stores on shelves in stockrooms and warehouses.
- Confirms that stock items are marked using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Follows proper storage methods to identify part locations and determined turnover based on environmental factors, and physical capabilities of the facility.
- Maintains an organized, neat, orderly, and hazard free stockroom using knowledge of warehousing best practices.
- Performs cycle counts when scheduled and provides accounting support for period-end closing activities.
- Provides parts to customers by staffing the storeroom windows as needed and provides customer feedback and updates on specific part requests.
- Ensures adherence to established safety standards.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in warehousing; experience working with shipping and receiving policies.
- Maintenance Mechanic experience is helpful.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel and Outlook) and ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to read conversion tables; basic math skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; works in a professional manner with both internal and external business associates.

- Compensation: We offer competitive compensation packages, inclusive of a global bonus program and an individual performance bonus program. The starting pay for this position is $38.45 per hour in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
