Job Highlights

Position is responsible for site coordination and compliance of occupational health and safety, process safety, environmental and quality regulations and standards.  Skilled and technically sound identification of deficiencies, root cause analysis, corrective action and innovative problem solving. Maintain, develop and control standards, documentation, and records.  ISO9001/RC14001 management representative.

  • Act independently to uncover and resolve HSEQ deficiencies.  Drive corrective action and innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate safety efforts and support zero incident goal including industrial hygiene, occupational health, JSA, ergonomics, SDS.
  • Coordinate and maintain environmental programs including Hazardous Waste, SPCC, SWPPP, air registration and waste reduction.
  • Coordinate ISO9001/RC14001 activities, audits and compliance obligations including timely action item completion.
  • Coordinate process safety including process hazard analysis and management of change.  Security and emergency action.
  • Analyze and report KPI's.  Monitor trends and proactively coordinate course corrections.  
  • Author documents, procedures and control plans. Coordinate document control, record retention, training and training records.
  • Product quality specifications. Calibrations. Resolve customer complaints. Minimize defect rates. SAP quality master data.
  • Maintain current knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards and working plant processes for HSEQ risk reduction.
  • Actively supports LANXESS values and HSEQ goals. Participates in teams, and other duties as required.

Requirements

  • BS Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related technical field. OSHA500 or professional certification in one or more HSEQ discipline prefered.
  • Min. of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Analytical, technical, time management, problem solving, independent thinking and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA and related regulations Responsible Care 14001.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with compliance and continuous improvement in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems including ISO9001, root cause analysis and corrective action.
