Job Highlights

Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Co-ops 

  • Responsible for a specific project in engineering and maintenance, safety, quality or mechanical integrity at the Memphis Site.
  • Shadow seasoned professionals in all areas of operations: process engineering, maintenance, mechanical integrity, safety and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate to analyze and collect data to improve production operations and processes.
  • Identify key performance indicators and optimize specific production lines.
  • Understand Quality Assurance requirements; coordinate and promotes awareness of all aspects on Site.

Chemical Engineers: 

  • Update production procedures, instructions forms and check lists.
  • Be involved on customers audits and customer complains.
  • Collaborate to run chemical analytical analysis for process quality control at the laboratory.
  • Understand Quality Assurance requirements; coordinate and promotes awareness of all aspects on Site.

Mechanical Engineers:

  • Update Plant P&ID’s and other process drawings.
  • Update Plant Maintenance Records, Preventive Maintenance Plans, Equipment Records and Bill of Materials.
  • Understand Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance (MIQA) requirements; coordinate and promotes awareness of all aspects of MIQA on Site
  • Report to operations for mechanical engineering technical issues by identifying, formulating and producing effective solutions to emerging problems

Requirements

  • Capable of working Safely at all times. (Working Safely is a condition of Employment)
  • Must be at least in Sophomore year of College and pursuing an undergraduate degree from in Chemical Engineering.
  • Possess good listening and communication skills, the ability to make presentations, including excellent
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use a computer and are conversant in Microsoft Office.
  • Capability of working independently within a Process Plant Environment.
  • Not be afraid of working at heights, working on open grating or around process equipment.
  • Prior industrial, plant or equipment maintenance experience is a decided plus.

Mechanical Engineers:

  • Familiarity with the SAP Plant Maintenance module, AutoCad or Microsoft Project a plus

Chemical Engineers:

  • Familiar with analytical process in the laboratory for quality control such as titration and ion chromatography is a plus.
