Job Highlights

 Identify complex systems in support of Factory Service, Technical Customer Support, R&D function, and EHS regulatory activities.  Strong focus on Plastics Additives (PLA) business support, particularly plant troubleshooting for El Dorado, and next generation Emerald Innovation 4000 / BASF project support.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Next Generation Emerald Innovation R&D Project.
  • PLA Factory Support and General PLA R&D Support.
  • Spectroscopic analysis for defect analysis, all Business Units (BUs).
  • Reverse Engineering of non-PLA systems.
  • Emerald Innovation Competitve Analysis (P.Jacobs, EU)
  • Provide FTIR assistance to Urethane and other Lubricant Additives BU Scientists

Requirements

PhD in Chemistry field, plus 2 to 5 years of experience with NMR and polymer chemistry.

Expertise in NMR, FTIR, SEM Spectroscopy is required.

Expertise in non-halogen flame retardant chemistry is a plus.

Strong written and oral communication skills including live presentations.
