Job Highlights

  • Development of new lubricants, lubricant additive packages, and lubricant additives compositions and in lead these projects as the technical project leader
  • Modification of existing Lubricant Additive compositions and processes to meet customer requirements
  • Testing of Lubricant Additives and packages  in lubricants, and interpretation of the results
  • Support qualification of new and alternative raw materials
  • Use and/or development of relevant lubricant and analytical test methods
  • Keeping abreast of relevant technical developments and IP
  • Keeping abreast of OEM and industry requirements
  • Comply with all safety regulations and ISO quality and environmental standards. Make recommendations towards the improvement of safety and environmental concerns
  • Reports on project status to stake holders and provides conclusions/recommendations


  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or similar field
  • 10+ years of experience in similar environment 
  • Understanding of the science of lubrication and tribology as related to engines, compressors, industrial gears, hydraulic systems, and turbines
  • Experience with the synthesis of lubricant additives
  • Expertise of lubricants and their lubricant additive chemistry, including testing and applications
  • Ability to utilize and complete Design of Experiments
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, team, project management, and bench skills
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.  Must be well-organized and able to drive multiple projects and work with internal and external customers across geographical lines
