Job Highlights

Maintenance:

Responsibility for documentation of plant and process installations, equipment, instrumentation, P&ID’s, Management of Change documentation and process revisions/changes. Determine the maintenance strategy for the plant, including process control standards and develop and assist in the review of alternative manufacturing processes, equipment and instrumentation changes. Assist with obtaining and maintaining the relevant permits required to operate the facility;

Responsible for the implementation and completion of all maintenance activities including root cause analysis, execution of maintenance activities, spare parts management, work permit execution, and shutdown planning. Further develop and implement the NVI maintenance program to ensure safe operability, allow for maximum availability, ensure operational effectiveness, limit downtime and unexpected breakdowns;

Engineering and Capital Projects:

Develop and carry out approved capital expenditure (CapEx) projects at the Neville Island Site. Manage all CapEx Projects conducted at the site, this includes project controlling and internal budgetary reporting.  Oversee the installation of technical changes in the plant - ensure they are carried out as designed. Manage the testing, start-up and release to production of newly installed and/or modified equipment and instrumentation;

Safety and Process Safety:

Responsible for the implementation and control of relevant health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the plant processes and equipment in accordance with company internal policies and local regulations. Coordinate, plan and schedule maintenance and project activities with Production, following through on A3/A4 action items, carrying out Management of Change actions, participating in Process Safety Process Hazard Analysis (PHA’s), and management of plant and equipment information. Lead and assist with process safety processes - PHA sessions for the completion of A3/A4 Certificates, and the implementation of the technical measures that come from these • Support the plant manager and HSEQ manager with the development of Job Safety Analysis’ (JSA’s);

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 
  • Experience with Process Control Systems, process design and instrumentation, preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and plant/facilities management.
