Job Highlights

The Regional Business Line Controller plays a crucial role in the financial management and strategic decision-making process of the Urethanes (URE) Business Line Americas (AMS).  This position oversees the financial performance and control of all activities within the AMS region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate financial analysis including action recommendations, forecasting and reporting to support business growth, profitability and compliance objectives. Acting as an interface between Business Unit Controlling and Business Line AMS. 
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting with the preparation of relevant financial reports for business steering purposes of the Busines Line AMS. 
  • Giving financial guidance to the management team and proactively find areas for improvement in order to improve financial performance overall. 
  • Plant Controlling for production sites in Perth Amboy, NJ and Gastonia, NC including closing activities and management of local masterdata related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls containing the coordination of external & internal audits regarding Financials. Maintaining the risk management system for the BL AMS including the identification and valuation of financial risks/opportunities.
  • Financial valuation of key projects of the Business Line and consolidating it in a financial roadmap of the BL in order to come up with a midterm planning of the Business Line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in controlling is required.
  • Financial valuation of key projects of the Business Line and consolidating it in a financial roadmap of the BL in order to come up with a midterm planning of the Business Line.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and key performance indicators.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
