Job Highlights

  • Plans and executes expedient and efficient processing of customer orders in the SAP system to ensure products are delivered to LANXESS’ customers on time and without problems. This includes maintenance of customer messages and contact information in Customer Master Data records, notifying plants of special customer requests and shipping arrangements verifying price and incoterms on purchase orders.  Coordinates shipping and delivery between customers and plants.  This requires knowledge of LANXESS logistics procedures, transportation methods, and regulations.
  • Monitor product allocations together with Product Planner and Head of Supply Chain at times of shortages.
  • Recommend and execute corrective actions for problems encountered in shipping, billing and damaged or returned inventory.
  • Communicate to the central logistics department internal and external supplier non-compliance issues for entry into the LMS -SCAR/CAR reporting system.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper consignment fill ups and billing for select key accounts.  Expected to address consignment differences with the customers in a timely manner and have them billed out accordingly.
  • Reviews requests for special pricing for consistency, alignment with current freight and payments terms, and proper approvals.  Submits price requests with zero errors.  Investigates and resolves customer deductions; identifies and corrects contributing factors to avoid future deductions.
  • Reports inventory shortages or issues to the Product Planner.  Timely assignment of available inventory to comply with LANXESS transportation/warehousing lead times and meet with customer’s delivery requirements.  May include discussions with management and/or sales to review changes in customer’s demands or deviations of requirements.
  • Coordinate with external third party logistics company on a regular basis to ensure timely delivery to end customer.


  • Bachelors degree required
  • Up to three years professional experience is preferred
  • Prior experience in supply chain functions is highly valued
  • Microsoft Office experience is required (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • SAP experience is required
