Demand Planner & System Expert (Partially Remote)

Job Highlights

  • Facilitate and support the S&OP/IBP meetings.  Practices good IBP behaviors and helps to generate alignment across multiple business functions.  Supports metric review and root causing below-target performance with corrective action implementation.  Develops solutions to be made in the IBP meeting for supply and demand scenarios that have financial impact on the outcome of our business. 
  • Initiate the supply planning activity of K-Flex products in creation of long-range master schedule as well operational transloading and production plan.
  • Supports the New Material Request process by providing supply chain relevant master data.  
  • Accountable for the local execution of supply chain plans, target setting, and process adherence.
  • Collaborate with demand planning to convert forecast into production or inventory requirements for internal & external suppliers.
  • Manage the rail car fleet used to transport material to our end customers.
  • Ensure that production is scheduled in a manner that maximizes quality consistency and productive use of assets.
  • Act as a deputy production planner role on short notice for the plants in Charleston and El Dorado.
  • Responsible for systems and analytics and plays a major role in upcoming SAP IBP and S&OP roll-outs in the NORAM region. Designs and sets up supply chain analytics in SAP IBP.
  • Developing, administering and executing SAP trainings to help people learn the system, application, or product for data processing relating to the planning environment.
  • Supports the K Flex Business as well as BFR, BPP & PAB in setting up and continuously improving system based planning.
  • Acts as a Key user in SAP IB & SAP PP/DS.
  • Trains new functionalities in the environment of SAP IBP.


  • Bachelor’s Degree is required from the fields of Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial or a Science program.
  • Masters of Business Administration is preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of business strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills in a global network.
  • Extraordinary ability to plan and organize work.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in change management.
  • Commitment to leading a continuous improvement culture within own area of responsibility.
