Job Highlights

  • Responsible for the procurement process and systems in North America, with efficiency and harmonization across the entire purchasing management process including maintenance of master data. This is a direct report to the local CPO.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse, globally distributed procurement team, with approximately 10 members, while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement in close alignment with the Global GPOS head.
  • Evaluation of new, digital technologies (e.g. Ariba sourcing suite) in the field of purchasing. Leverage in-depth knowledge of SAP and other procurement systems to streamline and enhance procurement processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support and implementation of GPL initiatives worldwide.
  • Responsibility for the development and execution of internal and external GPL process trainings (GPL employees, BU/GF customers, suppliers).
  • Develop and oversee strategic procurement projects, ensuring successful execution, cost optimization, and adherence to timelines.

Requirements

  • Higher education degree, with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, in Information Technology related studies, Business or similar education and work experience in Procurement.
  • At least 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent IT and process affinity with profound knowledge in the field of procurement and process analysis.
  • Previous Global Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM and related digital technologies.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading international procurement teams.
  • This is a hybrid role with the expectation to be on site approximately 3 days per week each week.
  • Ability to travel domestically and at times internationally.
