Job Highlights

  • Provide marketing and sales support for product offerings in the North American markets, including market research, market intelligence acquisition, maintenance and revision of product literature and other commercial materials, and participation in trade events.
  • Provide input to the development of marketing plans and budget as needed through the direction of the Marketing Managers and Head of Sales considering the input from Field Sales Reps, Distributors, Agents.
  • Prepare sales / GM analysis reports to the BL BIO management
  • Investigate and develop new customers (cold calls) within BL Biocides market through the direction and coordination of BL BIO Market Segment Managers and Head of Sales.
  • Support pricing activities in accordance with the company policy under guidance of the Market Segment Managers; provide related cost / margin analyses and monitor customer profitability.
  • Prepare and amend, as needed distribution, agency and supplemental registration agreements.  This would include pricing, supplying necessary documents to support the business and updating the distributors on our state registration.
  • Support and follow up on customer visits, coordination of sample requests, customer complaints.
  • Maintaining customer & pricing databases and process customer debit and credit memos
  • Interact with Supply Chain Planner and CSRs for availability of material against forecast, allocations in times of unavailability or shortages increases
  • Assist customers with regulatory and product safety questions and completion of customer specific forms with guidance from the Regulatory and HSEQ Groups.
  • Support Regulatory Affairs with sales information needed for various State registration forms along with assisting when needed during state audits.


  • Bachelors in Business Administration or equivalent. Technical degree of advantage, Master degree of advantage
  • Strong skills in the areas: planning, organizing, negotiation, coordinating, controlling and innovation.
  • Self-management: be able to operate independently with guidance where necessary with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to cope with occasional stress, for example, urgent timelines, product shortage, customer requests.
  • Communication skills: both verbal and written are critical.
  • Familiarity with LANXESS systems such as order entry, pricing, accounting, costing.
  • Have a general understanding of regulatory and product safety information (including FIFRA) and how this relates to each product.
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, taking ownership and motivating collaboration.
  • Computer Skills: MS Office, SAP, Lotus Notes, CRM.
  • Use of confidential information in a confidential manner
