Job Highlights

  • Develop, specify and supervise all necessary activities to ensure the project goals are delivered in time to budget and quality in a safe manner and manage deviations from targets by setting and implementing suitable countermeasures
  • Develop and agree scope, budget and timeline according to the project requirements and manage all changes focussing on the project goals taking business demands into account
  • Define resourcing strategy and supporting concept, specify roles, supervise implementation and manage all related LANXESS (LXS) disciplines, contractors and ensure appropriate involvement of BU- and Corporate representatives
  • Develop execution-, procurement- and construction strategy, ensure implementation of execution-, procurement- and construction concept and frequently challenge the efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with LXS Guideline RL-0036 utilization of the LXS-Project Management Standard throughout the project team
  • Implement a meaningful project reporting by covering all related information to progress, budget, timeline, HSE and quality utilizing LXS standards and information provided by disciplines
  • Supervise and control that all LANXESS internal and site interfaces are sufficiently managed


  • Engineering Degree required (prefereably chemical, process, or mechanical engineering)
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing major capital expenditure projects is mandatory
  • Project Management Standard PMI* or equivalent is mandatory
