Job Highlights
  • The Account Manager for the Disinfectants business will be the primary conduit to our customers and responsible for representing LANXESS ACD businesses’ best interest with current and new potential customers. A working knowledge of the disinfection market and/or livestock/poultry production industry is required.
  • This position is home office based.  Candidate must be located within a close (reasonable) proximity to a large airport.  Preference given to candidates on east side of USA.
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic and marketing plans and reviews; resolves problems; identifies trends; determines regional sales system improvements; implements change.
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives; prepares an annual budget; schedules expenditures; analyzes variances; initiates corrective actions. Focus of sales activities on animal health industry
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and country targets in support of regional objectives.
  • Actively manages distributor network, expands customer base; builds and maintains rapport with key customers; creates, tracks and maintains sales contracts and negotiates and updates annual targets; identifies new customer opportunities.
  • Works closely with Regional Technical Managers; jointly develops technical tactics and strategies and events.
  • Recommends products by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveys consumer needs and trends; tracks competitors.
  • Initiates and implements tailored promotions aimed at contribution gain and/or share capture.
  • Responsible for developing regional strategy in alignment with Market Segment Disinfection
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred though will consider Equivalent Sales Experience in the disinfectant industry and/or livestock/poultry production industry is required – MBA (optional)
  • Travel required ~60%. Must have the ability to travel within the US and Canada. 98%+ of all travel will be planned travel. .
  • Distribution sales and/or national corporate account  - 5+ years’ experience required.
  • Industry experience in the disinfectants market preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to effectively convey corporate/business messaging, technical concepts, and/or value propositions in one on one and group environments to customers.
  • Must be computer proficient with expertise in  the use of Microsoft  office software package (powerpoint, excel and word).
