Job Highlights

  • Analysis: Clearly identify business requirements and generate functional/technical specifications.  Estimate efforts and propose project scope, involved areas, based on deliverables.
  • Area of Responsibility: 1 - 2 enterprise sub-processes within the core ERP system, supporting ERP add-ons, and interfaced system.  Develop, maintain, and document audit-compliant operational processes within area of responsibility.
  • Relationship Management: Ensure appropriate engagement with business partners, collaboration and coordination with global and regional teams, and alignment with regional/global leadership.  Perform functional/technical knowledge transfer for applications, processes and systems within area of responsibility.
  • Digitalization / Innovation: Design, develop, and implement technical and functional solutions that support LANXESS local/global initiatives, improvements, and processes meeting the defined requirements.  Maintain documentation in accordance to local or global support, project and training methodology.  Evaluate and implement periodic system/software updates.
  • Vendor Management: Works with vendors to test interfaces, systems, coordinate project work tasks, ensure receipt of any relevant knowledge transfer.
  • Applications Maintenance: Coordinate and configure systems/application changes and/or enhancements within area of support responsibility.   Evaluate and implement approved change requests in alignment with the global teams.
  • Support & Incident Management: Perform first and second-level support with business partners.  Manage incidents related to ERP/non-ERP applications, processes, data, and/or other facilities within the area of support responsibility.
  • Projects: Contribute to the implementation of large, mid, and small-scale projects.
  • Project Management: Lead department initiatives as required.  Coordinate the implementation of medium to small-scale projects (local & global), includes preparing budget &  capacity project estimates.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree (business or technology discipline preferred), 5+ yrs. of relevant business /IT experience; incl. 3+ yrs. technical and/or functional experience (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP ECC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ERP/Non-ERP applications, and systems, particularly within area of responsibility and supporting FI module components (e.g., FI-GL (General Ledger), FI-AA (Fixed Assets), FI-AP (Accounts Payable), FI-AR (Accounts Receivable), and Treasury (CA-BK, Lockbox, Positive pay, Electronic bank statement, outgoing payment configuration)
  • 2+ years of SAP S4 HANA experience
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Ability to create and update training materials, technical documents and end user support instructions
  • Understanding of IT development and project management life-cycles, IT standards and guidelines (e.g. ITIL, SDLC, and Change Management)

 

Desirable

  • Understanding of IT service/portfolio management processes
  • Familiarity with ONESOURCE and Global Next Indirect Tax integration for SAP
  • Familiarity with SAP Concur Travel, Expense and Invoice Solution
  • Familiarity with SAP Business Objects Analysis for Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of FIORI backend development
  • Work experience in ABAP-coding / ABAP object-oriented coding
  • Experience in Agile-Scrum methodologies used for software development, a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required
