Job Highlights

The Global Supply/Demand Manager is responsible for all demand and supply planning in the assigned business unit to ensure the highest customer experience while controlling internal network costs.  Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate and support the Sales and Operations/Integrated Business Planning (IBP) meetings.  Practices good IBP behaviors and helps to generate alignment across multiple business functions.  Supports metric review and root causing below-target performance with corrective action implementation.  Develops and clearly presents decisions to be made in the IBP meeting for supply and demand scenarios that have financial impact on the outcome of our business.
  • Creates and maintains supply plans for the global supply network.  Ensures feasible plan to balance our productions facilities, supplier constraints, demand risks, costs, and working capital.  Facilitates global supply review to ensure coordination between Operations, Procurement, Product Management, Logistics and Supply Chain. Validates that operations is adhering to the plans.
  • Creates and maintains global demand plan in SAP IBP (DP). Leads/facilitates monthly Demand Review meeting to ensure coordination between Commercial, Product Management, Controlling, and Supply Chain.  Accountable for managing product allocations and improving forecast accuracy and demand generation process.
  • Aligns demand, supply, and inventory optimization plans with the finance team in the context of IBP to ensure one plan is used throughout the organization. 
  • Proactively ensures direct reports are meeting or exceeding customer service targets.  Resolves supply issues through close coordination with operations and asset management teams and ensures status communication to customer service and sales representatives. 
  • Supports the New Material Request process by providing supply chain relevant master data. 
  • Manages a team of operational supply chain manager(s) and schedulers located at various production facilities.  Accountable for the local execution of supply chain plans, target setting, and process adherence.  Facilitates annual goal setting and performance management. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required from ideal fields of Supply Chain, Engineering, or Sciences; a Masters of Business Administration is preferred.
  • Certification in APICS CPIM/CSCP, IBF, or similar is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with SAP; Advanced SAP (ECC) knowledge in OM, MM a plus
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with an advanced planning tool, SAP IBP DP/SNP, or other.
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of business strategies
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills in a global network
  • Extraordinary ability to plan and organize work.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in change management
