Job Highlights

  • Lead the North America Urethanes (URE) Sales Team to profitably grow the business (including all business lines UCE and UCP) in the US and Canada.
  • Lead sales team to develop and implement customer account plans and distributor strategies to profitably growth the business.
  • Coach sales team to successfully hunt and close new commercial opportunities while also defending existing business through active account management and execution of supply contracts.
  • Ensure operational business and sales team is well managed – opportunity pipelines, price increases, demand planning, credit and collections, customer and distribution contract framework development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Develop direct relationships with executives at key customers.
  • Be the Sales Functional Leader for the territory and work cross-functionally / cross-regionally to drive delivery of business objectives.


  • Must have good people leadership skills to coach, motivate and set direction for team.

  • Bias for action and ability to close opportunities with urgency – hunting mentality with ability to impart same mentality to the team.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally to persuade and influence colleagues.

  • Can balance operational activities with strategic direction; strong business acumen.

  • Specialty chemicals sales experience; urethanes technical understanding.

  • At least 8-10 years relevant business experience with minimum of 3-5 years in sales leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA valued; US Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred
  • 50% or more travel required
