Supply Chain Expeditor (InternCo-Op)

Job Highlights

  • Monitor and track all domestic and/or international shipments to assure “on time delivery” of all product.
  • Work closely with LAB Management team to measure and drive process adherence and identify improvement opportunities
  • Review and analyze both freight forwarder and SAP order tracking reports for outliers and collaborate with cross-functional team(s) to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners in Planning, Global Logistics, Customer Service, and external Freight Forwarders to update/resolve any shipping/delivery related issues.
  • Support, on an as needed basis, Site Logistics functions to ensure all documentation is generated and inventory is available in a timely fashion to meet requested delivery date
  • Highly collaborative role with both internal and external business partners and stakeholders across the business unit

Requirements

  • Working toward a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance
  • Continued employment into the Fall on a part-time basis
  • Great statistical and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving
  • High proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Excel (i.e VLOOKUP, PIVOTS, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP, JD Edwards, ORACLE or related ERP systems preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of MRP concepts, demand/supply planning concepts preferred but not essential
  • Independent self-starter, capability to learn quickly and take initiative to complete assigned tasks
