Job Highlights
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
• Drive sales and revenue growth for the BU Polymer Additives business across Indian continent with a strong focus on Flame Retardants, Plasticizers and other specialty additives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in Engineering Polymers, PVC, Polyurethane and Composite industries.
2. Key Account Management
• Manage, retain, and grow strategic accounts including Compounders, Converters, masterbatch producers, and plastic processors.
• Build strong relationships across technical, sourcing, and leadership teams of key customers.
3. Distributor Management
• Manage appointed distributors and support them with joint customer visits, lead generation, commercial discussions, and technical query resolution.
• Enable distributor teams through product training and application support to improve monthly sales performance.
4. Technical & Application Support
• Lead customer trials, sampling activities, and product approval processes.
• Coordinate with Global Application Technology (AT) teams to support new applications, resolve customer technical issues, and accelerate product qualifications.
• Conduct field trials at customer sites and provide detailed technical recommendations.
5. Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging market developments.
• Conduct market mapping, import analysis, opportunity identification, and support strategic decision-making for new markets and applications.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with technical, supply chain, regulatory, and product management teams to ensure smooth customer experience, complaint resolution, and compliance.
7. Commercial Negotiation & Collections
• Drive price negotiations, finalize annual/long-term contracts, and ensure timely payment collection as per credit policies.
8. Planning, Reporting & Digital Tools
• Prepare annual sales plans, forecasts, and deliver regular reporting through CRM and digital tools.
• Maintain visit reports, opportunity pipelines, trial tracking, and business dashboards.
Experience / Skills
Must Requriements
- Bachelor’s degree in Polymer / Plastics / Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with a Diploma in Plastics or Polymers.
- Minimum 10 years of Sales or Business Development experience within the plastics industry, serving polymer compounders, PVC converters, and polyurethane foam manufacturers.
- Strong technical knowledge of polymer additives, preferably Flame Retardants or Plasticizers or Speciality Additives
- Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts, including compounders, converters, and OEMs, with measurable revenue impact.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in conducting customer trials, managing product approvals, and supporting technical qualification processes.
- Prior exposure to distributor management including product training, joint customer visits, and market development.
- Strong analytical capability for market mapping, competitor benchmarking, and import data analysis.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and digital reporting tools.
- Previous experience working with an MNC will be an added advantage.
