Production Scheduler

Job Highlights

Purpose:
The production scheduler is responsible to most efficiently utilize resources while planning and scheduling in-house production for the Jhagadia plant, toll and contract manufacturing materials, planning and requisitioning resale materials and raw materials, and inventory replenishment in our third party warehouses in India within an established short-term planning horizon. This position interacts daily with Customer Service/ Manufacturing/Purchasing to fulfill the needs of our customers.They are responsible for contributing to cost containment and customer satisfaction performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the master production schedule; coordinate daily changes with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and HESQ.

• Create detailed schedules in SAP/PPDS; review and adjust plans (daily/weekly/monthly); sequence orders for efficient changeovers.

• Plan raw/resale material replenishment, raise purchase requisitions, and monitor availability and usage.

• Plan inventory replenishment for the third party warehouse in India. Evaluate safety and target stocks and monitor replenishment to ensure on-time delivery performance to our customers.

• Monitor production status and communicate delays to Customer Service.

• Maintain SAP master data as Key User.

• Stays in contact with the lab regarding product formulas and dispositions. Support new product development by working with both Product Development and R&D

• Continuous optimization of Working Capital / Inventory Management (SMOG) in accordance with the Business Targets, run monthly Inventory meetings, coordinate with GPL any disposal or inventory adjustments.

Role Complexity:
The role of Production scheduler involves problem solving and analytics, as well as the ability to be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. High proficiency with SAP and Master data as well as  Microsoft systems are mandatory. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the scheduling of production, raw materials and inventory replenishment. Evaluating MRP daily to review open orders from customers and make informed decisions to meet requested delivery dates and consider production difficulties when building inventory

Experience / Skills

• Specific Education : Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Technical/Engineering, Science, or similar.
• Work Experience : 5 to1 0 Years
• Special Skills : SAP Planning and Schedule Modules, Micosoft Systems (Word, Excel, Teams, Notes), Problem Solving analytics, Communication Skills, English Language skills
