Senior Executive - Application Lab

Job Highlights

Purpose of the position is to provide application development and testing support at site Thane, India; Responsible for equipments calibrations, safely and efficiently operate the equipments, conduct and communicate test results to sales in a timely manner. Also to help provide technical service to customers, and help support the reliable production of BU LAB production in Jhagadia (under development). 

• Ensure timely delivery of lab services for all stake holders including and not limited to blend studies, raw material and finished goods characterisation, pilot plant batches, outside lab testing, method development.  
• Ensure timely maintenance, calibration and Up-keeping of lab instruments (AMC’s,on call maintenance and support).                                                                                                               
• Management of all raw material and chemicals at site, ensure timely and periodic disposal and reduce generation of used and hazardous waste at site.                                                                                                        
• Responsible for the HSEQ, ISO 9001:2015 related activities, maintain proper housekeeping in the laboratory                                                                                                    
• Assure lab compliance, safety and efficiency; Provide timely testing and technical support for sales efforts                                                  

Task Complexity : Understand laboratory equipment operation and testing procedures; Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment as required; Support all BU LAB customers in the region with focus on India and the Middle East; Carryout work based on priority as determined by supervisor in a safe and timely manner

Experience / Skills

• Specific Education : Chemistry or Engineering Technology
• Work Experience : 3 - 5 years 

  Special Skills : Chemical and lubricant application testing knowledge; Up to date with latest lubricant testing equipment and processes; Particular focus on industrial lubricant applications, MCO and PCMO testing, and additive packages (i.e. hydraulic fluids). Experience working in a chemical laboratory, safely and efficiently; Familiarity with operating and maintaing testing equipment. Effective communication skills with team members and colleagues. Proven ability to take direction and follow through with actions quickly to accomplish goals.
