Job Highlights

Role Purpose:

Ensure smooth and compliant execution of import operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on timely clearance, cost optimization, and adherence to statutory and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Import Documentation: Verify BOE, invoices, permits; ensure accuracy and compliance with DGFT, Customs, BIS, and other regulations.
  • Customs Clearance: Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, and freight forwarders for timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on Customs Act, FTP, GST; ensure zero non-compliance and accurate duty payments.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams; provide MIS reports and support audits.
  • Cost & Process Control: Monitor duty outflow; leverage schemes like EPCG, RoDTEP; reduce demurrage and improve clearance timelines.

Experience / Skills

 

  • Specific Education : B.Com, B.Sc, BA, etc.
  • Work Experience : 3-5 Years
  • Special Skills : Experience in import operations and customs compliance. Strong knowledge of Indian Customs, HS codes, FTP. Proficiency in SAP & MS Excel. Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills
