Job Highlights

- Lead technical goods Procurement of Lanxess India with knowledge in technical services will be an added advantage.
- Ensure speed in urgent situations thereby successful contribution to JIT
- Drive cost reduction, risk minimization and innovation within his/her area of responsibility
- Define and execute systematic approach to TG optimization.
- Lead negotiator for various equipment / fabricated equipment category for various Capex Projects.
- Define and implement competitive purchasing and proactive risk management strategies for Lanxess India within technical procurement
- Manage compliance and sustainability efforts and related projects.

  • "Provide systematic approach to cost savings in technical goods and continuously improve respective strategies. Exposure in Technical Services will be an added advantage. Ability to do cost analysis for fabricated equipment."
  • Manage technical service ARCs, AMCs contracts with OEM suppliers
  • Ensure HO Thane and site buyers focus on Synergy between sites, rationalize vendors and leverage spend.
  • Lead negotiations for goods procurement. Represent GPL in critical negotiations. Steer, guide and train site TG/TS procurement team  on technical aspects, ideas/methods of internal costing, estimation enabling them to learn and assist in goods procurement/delivery
  • Support and lead to Global Sourcing efforts to destinations like Europe / USA etc. from Domestic market. Ability to assess costs in various markets.
  • Provide procurement management to special projects like  expansions, global outsourcing, investment projects feasibility studies etc.
  • Providing execution / implementation support to Projects / Capex and playing key role on coordination between Contractors / Engineering Consultants / Supplier / Technical departments for smooth execution of Project
  • Develop alternate vendors to enhance competition and reduce dependency / single vendor situation thereby reducing costs and minimizing risks
  • "Support interactions and interfaces between procurement and logistic to ensure smooth supply
  • Coordinate with GBS (Global Business Services) for issuing PO’s in prescribed time frame.
  • Automation – Continued efforts on creating more catalogues and agreements so as to achieve high automation rate."
