Job Highlights

  • Build, lead, and manage a global, multidisciplinary team of technical experts focused on delivering and developing sustainable technical solutions and new products that address microbial control challenges facing customers in the personal care, home care, and human health markets.
  • Define and drive technical strategy in collaboration with commercial and product marketing functions to deliver short- and long-term growth, understanding the microbial control needs, trends, and regulatory landscape within the personal care, home care, and health care. 
  • Expand and develop the strategic innovation pipeline for the Business Line in alignment with business strategy.  Identification, analysis, and development of new and naturally-derived microbial control opportunities and technology, as well as developing capabilities to enable technology development. Deliver successful launches of new technology and new products.  Partner with, and lead team in partnering with, all functions across the business to deliver successful launches.
  • Develop a technical leadership position externally for the Business Line through strategic participation in professional organizations and symposia, as well as delivering customer-focused education events such as webinars, conference presentations, and technical publications.
  • Develop proprietary positions for the business through competitive analysis, analysis of external technology and in-licensing opportunities, as well as development of new differentiated intellectual property

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry,  Biological Science, Engineering Sciences, or other related scientific discipline.  PhD preferred; professional experience >10 years
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with customers/external partners and implement technical solutions which deliver financial results. Demonstrated ability to innovate and define new approaches. Demonstrated record of achievement in a technical role
  • Experience in leading a technical team and delivering results through that team
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills both externally and internally
  • Experience within the personal care and/or home care industry is strongly preferred

Full-time 40 hours/week based in Wilmington DE, Hybrid work possible, Travel requirement 20-30%
