Job Highlights

  • Act as the subject matter expert on the safety of LANXESS's  Materials Protection Products (MPP) global portfolio of biocidal product to human health.
  • Conduct chemical risk assessments in support of regulatory submissions and internal research and innovation projects.
  • Lead and coordinate safety related activities with external partners such as consultants and CROs.
  • Provide support to the global regulatory team, technical, marketing of LANXESS in their activities.
  • Keep up to date knowledge on new scientific and advancement relevant for human toxicology and risk assessment, innovative approach methodologies.
  • Represent LANXESS by contributing at meetings with external trade associations, scientific committees, task forces and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree (or qualified experience) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Toxicology or related field.  
  • Experience working in a regulatory/compliance/process/administrative environment is desired. Ability to conduct exposure and risk assessments is desired. 
  • Required years of professional experience in related fields: 5 to 10 years
  • Effective Communication, good coordination activities, team work, collaboration, leadership, personal integrity, project administration, planning. Must be detail oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively. Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines while working in work in a high paced environment and able to change direction with little effort.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments for a wide range of biocidal uses (e.g., home, personal care, industrial). Ability to conduct QSAR modelling, using publicly and commercially available exposure models and professional and industrial uses, is desirable. 
  • Capable of easily and proactively collaborating with the business team, other functions, and/or customers.
